About Us

Digital Equity & Inclusion

A high-speed internet connection is no longer a luxury. According to the National Digital Inclusion Alliance (NDIA), digital equity is necessary for full civic and cultural participation and is just as important as running water and electricity.

Project Management & Technical Assistance

Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize the progress of the project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of the project.

Healthcare Technology

MCT initiated the Virtual Community Wellness Project to promote the usage and adoption of Telehealth in underserved urban communities within the County of Los Angeles.  Since 2013, the development of VCW has resulted in providing wellness and health-related services to over 800 senior citizens in urban communities in Los Angeles and in rural areas throughout the United States.

Workforce Development

Workforce development from the societal centric perspective is defined as initiatives that educate and train individuals to meet the needs of current and future businesses and industries in order to maintain a sustainable competitive economic environment. Whereas the previous example was driven by the needs of individuals, the initiatives in the societal perspective are driven by the economic development plan for an entire region or state.

Public Policy Advocacy

What is public policy advocacy? Advocacy encompasses a wide range of activities that influence decision-makers. Advocacy includes traditional activities such as litigation, lobbying, and public education. It can also include capacity building, relationship building, forming networks, and leadership development.

Literacy & Education

At MCT, we are working to ensure that under-resourced communities have Internet in their homes.  To help people become active digital citizens, we offer (three) equally important programs to the community; connectivity, affordable computers, and digital literacy training.  Digital literacy is a foundational element of success in today's technology-driven world.

Let’s work together!

Public-private partnerships and collaboration create new patterns for the flow of both public and private broadband dollars. Under the leadership of BizFed Institute, the LA/OCRBC is available to assist communities to reach their connectivity and broadband equity goals.
